DANCEHALL IN VA??? PT 1 – DAGGA
Aug 6th
When I tell people where I live at, and explain what I do, everybody response is REALLY? in VIRGINIA? Yes really, in Virginia there is a huge reggae/dancehall community here. While I can admit there is a disconnect sometimes between what’s playing in Jamaica, NY or Florida, our community has sustained a long time now. Anyways enough blah blah . . .
FRESHARDA . . .
Aug 6th
Are you trying to figure that name out? No it’s not some ghetto american name, it’s a term coined by rising UK Dancehall artist, Fresharda. A rising artist out of the UK, Fresharda draws from his Jamaican roots to pull his sound together. Previewing the song already to some listeners, his current single has been well received and leave people confused to know WHAT artist is this, “he sounds like bounty or maybe aidonia”. Well it’s a whole new ting . . . an experienced producer and rising artist, Fresharda is primed to take over!!!!
*TWISTED*
Jul 16th
His song might be about twisted things, but this rising artist is not. Releasing the song and video “Ears Hard” a few months ago, he backs that single up with another powerful tune, “TWISTED”. Vybrant has an energetic powerful voice, that he backs up with great lyrical content. Check him out on his facebook @ http://www.facebook.com/vybrantfire.
